Look Who is Back

After nearly 3 years in hiding it was time to come back.  It only took me a month to figure out how to reclaim my blog and get it up and running again.
I am contemplating some new ideas and where to take this website.  I feel the need to keep blogging and get my ideas out there.  So many people know me from this site that it may be hard to get my real true thoughts and ideas out there like I want.  So i am trying to decide what to do.

Let's go over where I have been.  I did a stint on MySpace where I got up over 5,000 friends and a decent blog, but never grew the following I was looking for.  I have looked at facebook, but not what I am after.  So I finally figured out how to get logged in and go from there.

Stay tuned for more from Fletch!

More Changes

I am deleting two of my blogs...."Fletch's Photo Blog" and "100 Things About Me" blog. If you are interested in these two things, then read the entire blog and you can figure it out more than likely. I never updated these things and they were just hanging out there doing nothing.

Now that blogger lets you upload photos directly I will be going that route more often.

The New and Improved

Today I decided that I should start updating the blog since I have gone almost 6 months without a post. Several of my readers have been asking what has happened to it and if I was ever going to post again.

I originally thought that I was going to let it fade off into cyberspace, but I have decided to let it go through a metamorphisis instead. Lots of things have happened since March of this year and I guess I am ready to update it now. I have been looking at some of the links that I have accumulated over the past and I think they need to be changed also. I will be gradually updating those as I go along too.

I also have added a seperate computer at work that doesn't run off of the company system so I can be a little more free about what I say. I also am going to add some hometown links on the side and I will make comments on the happenings in small town Oklahoma. There are just too many funny things not to make comments about.

Anyhow....stay tuned and drop a line if you like it and if you hate it....keep it to yourself!!!!!

New Website

The new website it up and running. Please update your bookmarks or just jot it down somewhere.

The new site is www.fletchertrout.com

You can still get here the normal way but if there are any future changes it will all come from the main homepage. I will put up a link, when neccessary, to take you back to the home page.

Also please note the new email. fletch@fletchertrout.com

Stupid Website

Here is a website that is kinda stupid yet still makes me laugh.

Who would buy That

You gotta check this out. It is a wevsite that lists junk that people have for sale on ebay. I was checking it the other day and I saw 3 frogs in a menois de trois (not sure how to spell it) that some goofy red neck taxidermist did. The best part was that it actually sold. Some retard was excited to get this in the mail.

When you go to ebay run a search for the seller golden_palace_casino or just click HERE. This is an online casino and they buy all kinds of stuff. Some of it is pretty hilarious, but they buy advertising space on cleaveage, pregnant women's bellies and tattoos on some dude's head and forearm. So people are just stupid.

Happy hunting and remember anything and I mean anything can be sold on EBAY!!!

New Changes on the Horizon

There are some new changes brewing here at the Fletcher Chronicles.

I am sorry that I have been so busy that I haven't been able to update for several weeks, but that is just what happens sometimes.

One thing that has happened is The Fletcher Chronicles is now off of the work system. It is completely free and clear of any work related systems and has its own dedicated system now.

The other thing is I am working on putting this on its own dedicated site. I plan on combining all the blogs into one nice neat web page. I will have seperate pages for jokes, Top 100 things and photos. This may take me about a week or so to get it finished, but it should take on a new look.

I am still going to leave the blogspot website here, I am just going to make a link for you to access it from the website and then for readers to get back to the website.

Fletch is the Poker Champion

Last night I stayed up pretty late, ok really late. I have been playing poker on-line in with "FREE" chips. No money involved just fake poker chips and my pride. You have heard me lament on and on about how much fun it is and all that stuff.

Well here is the deal, last night I found the tournament section of the site. I used to think that you could only play one of the large tournaments with 2,000 people or more. I found out that they have smaller tournaments with 1 to 3 tables. You put up a few 'fake' money chips and your in. You do get a chance to win and you feel like you are on ESPN or Bravo with a running commentary going on in your head.

I played a few tournaments last night. I played four tournaments in about 1 1/2 hours. I played one tournament that had 45 people, I finished 21st. I played two tourneys that had 27 people and I made it to the final table finishing 6th and 8th. I am thinking this isn't that bad. I had made a few mistakes, but I had also flexed my poker muscles on some lesser opponents, or so I thought.

I decide I will play one last tourney before bed time. This one was 9 players, one table, winner take all. The entry fee for all of them was $320 and this tourney had a prize of $1350. So the thing starts and a few fall out and it now down to 6 of us. I get a great flush draw with A-9 in my hand and then 3 of us go all in. I win and I am now the chip leader!!!! Yippee!

So then the MRS calls for me and wonders what is going on. So to make a long story short I start trying to dump chips to go to bed, well it backfires and I knocked two others out and now it is just 3. I hammered the last two to cruise to my first victory of my short career.

There was a small parade, a press conference and an awards ceremony. Sure I was the only one there, but hey this is my fantasy!

Lord Stanley is not wearing a Cup

Well, it is official the NHL season is over. Most Americans could care less about the wipe out of a season, but the Canuck Nation is in deep mourning today. I would hate to see what would happen to Gary Bettman if he was loose in a dark alley in Canadia tonight. The sad thing is that the game has never caught on in the markets that have NHL teams like Nashville, Phoenix and Dallas. Sure it is there, but not with the passion of Ottawa or Montreal or Calgary, those guys are pissed off right now.

Quite frankly TV doesn't do this sport any justice. You need to go to a game and see it up close and personal, maybe next year. You would be amazed at how fast they skate and how hard they hit. The company I used to work for had 6 ticket in the club level for the Nashville Predators. I went a few times and I was always amazed at how fast the game really was.

The problem was that I was in the South, watching with Southerners. We don't understand the game and don't really care to understand the game. None of us played it growing up and most of them in the crowd have never ice skated to begin with. I did skate on some hockey skates once and found out that I should stick to golf. Those things are fast, hard to stop and are unpredictable, at least for me.

It is sad that a sport so loved by our Norhern friends is not understood by most Americans. Americans understand so little that when the the NHL goes on strike we don't even flinch, in fact some say good riddance so they can see more NBA highlights on Sportscenter. But if the College Bowl Season went away or March Madness skipped town there would be so many riots that Sherman's march through Atlanta would look like a small campfire.

So I say we show our Canuck friends a little sympathy in their day of mourning.

Sorry about it, eh!
